Coors Light Recalled; Found “Subpar”

According to the Chicago Tribune, MillerCoors has recalled a batch of Coors Light in the Southeastern United States after taste tests at the company’s Georgia brewery found the beer to be subpar.

Last week, MillerCoors began pulling the beer from its distribution system and from retailers. “We sampled it and realized it wasn’t up to standards,” said Pete Marino, a spokesman for MillerCoors.

Of course, this makes me wonder if we could have started a “Citizen’s Recall” of Coors Light YEARS ago, citing that it has been “subpar” and “not up to standards” as far as beer goes.

MillerCoors is a joint venture of the U.S. operations of SAB Miller (owned by South African Breweries) and Molson Coors Brewing Co. (owned by Molson Brewing in Canada).
