Some crafty entrepreneurs are taking beer pong seriously. Pong Beer Lite was created to be the go-to beer for beer pong players & drinkers everywhere.
Private Stock Spirits, a contact brewer with LaTrobe Brewery, created the beer that is targeted at the Keystone and Natty Light crowd… the ones that don’t mind drinking beer from a plastic cup that may have dirt particles from the floor or sweat from your buddy’s hands transferred via pong ball in it.
I have to hand it to the creators/designers/marketers on this one. Pong Beer is sold in 30-packs and comes with 2 free Pong balls. Distributors can also opt to sell a party pack called the Reload that includes 16 oz. cups and 4 Pong balls so that players don’t have to DWIve all over town for Pong supplies. And the logo and colors on the can scream America.
Barely-legal beer buyers don’t care about cold-sensing cans, flavor vortex bottles or interactive labels. But they do want cheap 30-packs. I haven’t tried the beer–and probably won’t if I have to buy 30 of them–but a few online reviews put it on par with other decent light beers.
Pong Beer Lite (isn’t the word “Lite” a trademark of Miller?) can now be found in 10 states with more on the way.
You can find out more at Pong Beer USA. Like most beer websites you have to be 21 years old to view, but you know, whatever to drink.
