A lot of recent emails to the site have started with “why aren’t you adding news anymore?”
One anser to this wood be, because we are too drunk to type with any acurracccyie. Another answer is that the news has been boring us… talk about SAB Miller and Budweiser and the new beers that they intend to produce are boring and very commercial. So we lie dormant… letting you read other blogs and newsfeeds.
But once in a while a story pulls at our heart strings and brings us back to the forum that is oh-so-hard to keep spam free. The 134-pound hamburger, is that story.
Steve Mallie, owner of Mallie’s Sports Bar and Grill in Detroit, MI, believes his establishment has set a new record for the largest hamburger commercially available after surpassing a 123-pound burger cooked up by Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield, PA last year.
Of course, all it would really take to supass this record is to create a “predominantly ridiculous hamburger” class of 150 pounds and put it on your menu… but it is press-worthy to give cheers to an establishment that creates a 134-pound hamber purely for the attention.
