Whether it’s something you do the night before you tear yourself up, or the morning after, does anyone have any unique ways of curing their hangover? For me, just crack another beer in the morning and keep on drinking!

That’s my brother Eric’s solution too… except that he gets up the next day at 5:30PM when everyone else is cured already.

Well – before they took it off the market, the arthritis med: “Vioxx” was my golden ticket out of a hangover.
Haven’t found a replacement, yet. π

Pickle Juice acts like a super gatorade,it flushes out my system and gets me back on my feet in no time, Cant tell you why…it just does.
April 19, 2005 at 5:02 pm #8054AnonymousInactiveAfter a night at the bar my buddies and I go eat late night sushi (when we’re trying to be healthy), or Scattered, smothered, covered, diced, and peppered hashbrowns at ye old Waffle House (when health gets thrown out the window). Then when I get home I drink 16 ozs of water. Works like a charm. No hangover. Also, some beers seem to cause worse hangovers than others. Stay away from 3.2 beer, good advice period, but especially important if you plan to drink more than say six. Hangovers from crappy 3.2 beer are killers. Guinness seems to have the mildest hangover with me even after 6 or 7 pints and a couple Irish Car Bombs thrown on top.
Pickle juice is also a great way to be shocked into awakeness. Works better than a shot of espresso in my opinion.
Cheers
May 2, 2005 at 12:31 am #8055AnonymousInactivethe best cure for a hangover of all time? acetaminophin (tylenol) with codeine. unfortuanately, its not available in the US, but you can get it in canada. if you’re not an amatuer pharmacist, codeine is an opitate, although its considerable less potent than the more familiar ones (heroin, morphine, etc.), and this stuff gets rid of ANY headache.
May 11, 2005 at 11:36 pm #8056AnonymousInactiveSorry folks, but the “just crack open another beer and keep drinking” aficianados are just too hard core for me. I just can’t do it. My usual quick fix is two aspirin, two eggs cooked sunny side up on a few pieces of toast with a couple of pickled jalapenos on the side. A glass of V8 if I have it in the fridge or a huge, tall glass of iced tea with some lemon juice in it. A good hot shower helps clean all the yeast out of your pores as well. The best way to avoid hangovers is just to learn your limit. Unfortunately, I will admit that I haven’t always abided by that bit of advice myself and am guitly of overindulgence, especially in the summer Texas heat.

November 28, 2005 at 8:13 pm #8059AnonymousInactiveI find that a big cooked breakfast sets me up for the day after a night on the turps.
That is, if I can stand the sight of food.
I also like to have a big glass of milk, before going to bed, I often find that prevents a hangover the next morning. πMarch 26, 2006 at 2:25 pm #8061AnonymousGuestYeah, you are right man! π
