ok well ive been reading a lot about new belgiums fat tire.. well new belgium period.. but what about other breweries in the NW? im from a small little town called missoula, and there are some killer breweries here.. for instance Bayern.. this place is unbelievable.. they make a little something called Trout Slayer… not only is it the best fishing beer, its probably one of the best around for a good 500miles.. *in montana, thats really not too far i guess but you get the point* Bayern also produces a seasonal beer that is for the fall/winter months called Blacktail Darkwheat.. now if you want to actually taste a dark beer, with out having to cut it with a knife, then this is the goods. 3 pints of this stuff.. your having a good time..

there are definatly more then just Bayern here too, theres Big Sky Brewing company, they produce such hits as Moose Drool, which ive actually seen in Seattle on my last trip there.. i was shocked, and bought a 12er.. Big Sky also has Slow Elk, a dark oatmeal beer. Scape Goat, something ive never really gotten into, but its still better then any domestic beer ive had..

then theres Kettlehouse, these guys that run the joint are incredibly cool, they make such hits as Bong Water, both Dirty *dark* and Clean *light* according to their brewmaster, they put one hemp seed in each tap, so your beer always is running over something that rules. then they have their nitro setup.. nitro is the way to go for pouring, it makes the beer just fall down your throat, so smooth and crisp.. in all actuality thats the only beer that my girlfriend will drink, she hates the carbonation, so when we go out, she only goes nitro, but me, im a man, just a beer will do.. the big seller for the nitros is a drink called Cold Smoke.. its something like 6.8ac and knocks your head around.

well i didnt see any posts with montana brews being listed, just wanted to get a little publicity about our beers up here.. so if your ever in missoula, then check out some of OUR haunts..

eat, drink, and be merry.
