In April 2004, we posted an article about Tempra Technology’s I.C. Cans, a can that can produce a chilled drink within three minutes which remains cold for up to 45 minutes.

Finally, Tempra found a buyer in Miller Beer. According to several Internet news services including Gizmodo and New Spy Tech we can expect to see the Miller cans to show up on store shelves in mid-2007.

The cans are regular 16 ounce size but only contain 10.5 ounces of liquid, as the rest of the space contains the cooling apparatus: a dessicant that when activated draws the heat from the beverage into a heat sink getting the frosty bev down to 30 degrees fahrenheit.

Looks like Miller thinks we’ll give them the same slack we throw Guinness… a "16 ounce" can with 10.5 ounces indeed.
