I just posted my 250 "characters" on the Beer Rate Site. Then I found out I could say more here
Anyway,I wanted to say that in Santo Domingo, and the DR,the Dominicans often drink their Presidente with a "splash" of Motts "Clamato Juice"! (Tomato & Clam Juice)."MMMMMMMMMmmmmmmm".You take a big swig from the bottle, then poor in some "ice cold" Clamato. After the bottle is about half gone, pour in a little more.I like lots, some like only a little.I love it that way! Takes out the "Fizz",adds some salt, makes them go down too smoth! Dominicans swear that you CAN’T get drunk if you drink your Presidente with "Clamato". I swear that they are WRONG!!!!!!
You MUST sit outside, listen to "Bachata"(Dominican Country Music) on 12-Inch speakers at full volume to get the best effect! 😯
Now here, "Ice Cold" is "Bien Fria".You don’t even have to say "Bring me a beer",just "Una Bien Fria" will get you what you want.Dominicans often share a " Grande" with friends, drinking from small disposable plastic cups. That way your beer is cold, you just have to "Keep Em Com’n!
Last point is that Dominicans will leave a beer on the table, and order another if the beer gets warm! They want the beer brought to them in a "Vestido de Novia",a "Wedding Gown"!!That is when the beer is below freezing when it comes out of the fridge, and the moisture laden air freeze into a "Frosty Wedding Gown" on the bottle!
Now you can drink "Presidente" like a Dominican!!!
