I kept meaning to add these two cents about hot dogs in NYC…<br />

Not only are our vendor dogs pretty famous, as well as Nathan’s in Coney Island (mentioned in the <a href="https://www.briansbelly.com/featured/hotdogs/">Brian’s Belly article</a>) but if you’ve never heard of them, Gray’s Papaya (upper west side, 72nd & Broadway) and Papaya King (upper east side, 86th & 3rd) should be considered if you are ever visiting NYC. Look for the sign that reads "Tastier than Filet Mignon" (but imagine a slogan more like "the White Castle of Hot Dogs.")<br />

There is also a great and relatively unknown place named <a href="http://www.fandb.geomerx.com/index.cfm">F&B</a> on 23rd between 7th & 8th that has extremely unique gourmet hot dogs. Small place, but it was worth the trip for me for lunch one day.<br />
