UK – Teenage schoolgirls are drinking more alcohol than their male classmates, according to an alarming survey published today.<br />
<br />
It shows 44% of girls aged 14 and 15 have at least one alcoholic drink a week, compared to 42% of boys. Girls are also far more likely to smoke.<br />
<br />
Though boys drink more beer, they cannot match girls for wine, spirits and alcopops.<br />
