A Hooters in Arlington, Texas was denied an alcohol permit–a permit that had been pending since October of 2001 when company bigwigs decided to build a restaurant in a shopping center there.<br />
<br />
A Hooters without beer is like a Hooters without, well, hooters. What would you wash your wings down with? And sober pockets are not as deep as drunk ones when it comes to tipping waitresses.<br />
<br />
So the establishment will be giving away free beer until this little problem with the permit is cleared up. They were refused the license because of the surrounding community’s sense of decency, but free beer sounds pretty decent to me.<br />
<br />
Don’t mess with Hooters in Texas.<br />
