It seems that Americans are constantly getting pelted with scientific studies that tell us that we are fat, and getting fatter by the minute. The latest round of bad news was brought to us courtesy of researchers at Boston University who have been gathering health data on a group of 4,000 adults for the last 30 years.<br />

Their conclusion: A jaw-dropping nine out of 10 men and seven out of 10 women will become overweight at some point in their lives. And those of us who have managed to keep the weight monster at bay into middle age shouldn’t be too smug. Half the people in the study who reached the summer of their lives without a weight problem eventually joined the ranks of the "large" majority.<br />
