    Stainless is better, but you said you were strapped for cash so go with the aluminum (I have an aluminum pot).<br />

    The basket is more versatile cause you can use it for other things but I prefer the stand (notice I didn’t say rod!) I feel this way that the bird is wholly in oil and not leaning up against the sides.<br />
