    ST. LOUIS – It sounds like an oxymoron – a dark light beer.<br />

    But Anheuser-Busch Cos. Inc. has high hopes for its new Michelob Ultra Amber, a beer officially introduced Monday but one that was the focus of ads the nation’s largest beermaker ran during the Super Bowl.<br />
    <br />
    Michelob Ultra Amber is described as an "American-style light lager" with a malty, toasted aroma.<br />
    <br />
    The dark-colored light beer is the first extension of the Michelob Ultra brand, with only slightly more calories and carbohydrates. Michelob Ultra has 95 calories and 2.6 carbs per 12-ounce serving; the Amber version has 114 calories and 3.7 carbohydrates, along with 5 percent alcohol by volume.<br />
