More people drink beer in Milwaukee than in any other U.S. city, according to a study by Scarborough Research.

The study found that 54 percent of Milwaukee, WI residents said that they had consumed beer in the past month, followed by 53 percent of Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN residents, and 51 percent of Denver, CO residents. Four cities tied for fourth place with 50 percent of residents saying they drank beer: St. Louis, MO, Buffalo, NY, Albany, NY, and Boston, MA.

On the other end of the spectrum, just 23 percent of Salt Lake City, UT residents said they drank beer, so it seems like the Missouri Mormons are getting plastered while the Utah Mormons are still following in Joseph Smith’s sober footsteps.

The study relates bling to beer, stating that more affluent individuals tend to drink more beer.
