A stainless beer keg?.
That would be a rarity, I was under the impression that Aluminium was used because of it’s lightness, cheapness and it’s ability to be recycled.
Stainless steel is rather hard to work with because of it’s tensile strength, however, as long as you have things like sharp drill bits and saw blades, you should be pretty right.
BTW, if you want a hand to design and build something like this, please post away here, I come from an engineering background and I’d be more than willing to help you out.
My last little project here was a BBQ made out of an old 44 gallon paint drum,
I had steak, chops and BBQ onions off it last night.
Simple yet effective. 8)
