    Well that seems like a cool idea, but it may take a lot of oil even with the bird flat… which I’d advise against. Mainly because you won’t be able to use the hook to get it in and out (unless you run wires or something from the ass through the neck. Also, the idea is to have as much of it as possible covered in oil evenly… if it’s breast or even back down against the heat it may burn and cook unevenly.<br />

    Either way, be careful where you put that rod thing.
