Okay, not that I disrespect anyone, but I find the lack of Northwest beers talked about on this site unfortunate. Growing up in Washington state, I didn’t realize how many good beers are made here. Recently, I have developed a particular fondness for Mirror Pond Pale Ale from Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon. Another standby for me would be Redhook’s ESB. The only ESB I’ve had that was better was on tap at Capitol City Brewing Company in DC. I was quite impressed by this beer and if anyone is ever in the DC area, I’d suggest you try it. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that it is made with Cascade Hops, a Washington tradition.
