You want to be able to get to the stadium and get things going as soon as possible. Be sure to find a good parking spot. This may sound like a simple task but if you get a spot on the end of a row youll have a lot more room to spread out. Some people like to take up extra parking spots but this borders on being inconsiderate. Weve certainly got no problem with being inconsiderate, but if you want to do this be sure you have a party worth taking up extra spots and be willing to share with your neighbors especially if you see the Bellymobile parked next to you.
Giving yourself enough pre-game time is very important. As good as your buffet may be, is it worth it if you dont have enough time to enjoy it? You need plenty of time to drink, cook, drink, eat, and recreate (drink).
Take some time the night before to prepare any foods that can be done before hand. Marinate your steak and chicken, make your burger patties, cut your toppings, prepare your salads (well, not /your/ salads but start the kids off right).
Weve got plenty of recipes here at Brians Belly to check out and make your tailgating party the tastiest in your row but heres a special one from Belly Buddy Eric Lauterbach (we think that this is the only thing he knows how to make):
1 Case of Beer
2 Bags of Ice (cubed, if available)
1 Cooler
Remove cans from recyclable cardboard holder. Place cans in cooler, intermingling with ice cubes. Wait 30 minutes and serve chilled.
Did you forget to ice your beer down before you hit the road? Heres an old Army trick pack your singular bottle or can in ice in your helmet er cooler and spin it for 60 seconds. Hows that for cool.
