    Sorry I totally missed out on this question.<br />
    I’ve used temperature sensors from day one as an electrician.<br />
    My advice to anyone that owns an electronic thermometer, cheap or expensive, is look after the sensing tip.<br />
    The tip is what is known as a thermocouple and has two dis-similar metals fused together, two wires are joined to either side and when the junction is heated at all, it produces a minute current.<br />
    Damage that junction and you will destroy the thermometer, they are very delicate sensors.
