11tone» f*** sushi, this beer is great on a sunny sunday afternoon out of a really big glass followed by much more of the same, it is my favourite beer, my second favourite would be sam adams. 7Danielle» It was okay, but was a little watery. But thinking about it, it would go really well with sushi. 6Scrappy» Sapporo is excellent when extremely cold with sushi...and nothing else. 10Octoberfest» Who would of thought such a delicous and flawless beer could come from the Japanese! Served best out of longnecks or off tap. The crazy shpaed can kicks 40 oz.s and 32 oz.s right square in the balls 6StavinChain» Errrr...it's OK with sushi. Kirin is OK with sushi, too. Asahi is OK with sushi. Hey, anything short of Bud or Bud Light is OK with sushi. 9El Diablo» This is a premium beer. It's from Canada so if you got a bad one or a bad dozen its likely spoiled. 2Schizferatu» I can and will drink any beer, even ones I don't really like at all. Sapporo, on the other hand, goes into my Stroh's category - absolutely awful. If you really need a beer or a beer buzz then it earns a 2 for that. 9CO» I'm a big fan of Sapporo, however Reserve is better, but either one you're good to go. I've only tried Kirin one time, while I liked it, I still think Sapporo is the better beer. Nothing like an ice cold Sapporo and some sashimi. 8mefus» It kicks in when Cold...It will put some ying in your yang 7mikef» Regular Sapporo is good but Sapporo Reserve is better. 7Sean» Meh, not anything special. I actually love Kirin Ichiban, and this didn't compare well to it. Cold is the way to go. 8Charro» it tastes like water after i tried a "SALVATOR" beer 8snake» It's a damn shame you can't get Suntory Malts anywhere in the States... Sapporo, Asahi, and Kirin be damned, Suntory is the best Japanese beer. 5Kevin» Only beer I've ever had from a can sheped like a giant oil can with a big handle on the side. 40's be damned. 11mike» guinness brews the best sapporo in the world for the irish market.Tastes alot like harp lager crisp and light.i always look for it abroad. 9GrisWold» Great beer, this is a good substitu if I dont want to drink sake with my home made sushi. 10Beeahlova» Ive drink a lot of beers from many different places... so far Sapporo has managed to catch my taste buds. Its light and crisp... even though is big, you dont have to swallow the whole thing in a gulp, so it wont get hot, U can take ur time. 9shogun» good beer, better than kirin, which is also a good beer 11BUddy» Its my favorite beer. Crisp and light. 6Jim» We can ALL admit to being seduced by the SIZE of the can ( more IS better!)But who knew the Japanese could make a decent beer? Again, COLD is the key.Share it with your date (if she drinks beer)or chug hell out of it. NOT GOOD WARM!!! 3Rob» Yuck. If you are having Japanese, have Asahi Dark. Much much MUCH better beer. 2UMM-Beer» Tastes like a Summo wrestlers sweat. 8TitoFan» I'm a big fan of the silver bullet, an added bonus is that you can use a can opener to take the top off and then you have a portable glass! 7KenM.» Not a bad beer, but probably not as good as Asahi. Here's the rub: In Japanese restaurants the tendency is to serve beer too warm...sort of like sake. Opt for Kirin if you can. 7Scott» It tastes like a cheap American beer. But its good for shits and giggles if youre in a japanese restaurant. 7Jtown» Mmmmm....sake bombs. Great beer with sushi. I've never had it outside of a sushi house, so maybe it's the experience that makes it a good beer. Or the Sake. 11Craig» Used to drink Sapporo in Scotland in the late 80's. The crazy pull off tops used to take our fingers off after a few! great beer worth the risk 8JD» Usually I agree with the reviews. Here I dont. I have never seen Sapporo in a can, but in a black bottle. It and Ebisu a microbrew are "crisp". Read good with food esp. sushi and tempura and teppanyaki 4ZIPPERTRIPPER» In Japan, they feed Sapporo to thier cattle to make them fat, the Japs drink Kirin.
