Michael Clarke Duncan will star in comedy troupe Broken Lizard’s fifth film, “The Slammin’ Salmon.”

The movie is set in a Miami restaurant owned by Cleon “Slammin'” Salmon (Duncan), a brutal former heavyweight boxing champion who institutes a competition to see which waiter can earn the most money in one night.

Broken Lizard returns to its indie roots with it’s fifth film… the band of comedians raised financing, wrote the screenplay and will co-star in the movie.

Kevin Heffernan makes his directorial debut on the feature, which began shooting this week in Los Angeles.

A short while after BeerFest was released, we reported that Broken Lizard was about to film Funny Fat Guy. Then Variety reported that Jay Chandrasekhar was to direct Ambulance Chasers with the team.

Will we FINALLY get a movie???

Pardon us please, while we pay for beer...
