BK’s Pizza Burger to be the King of Calories

by David Lauterbach
2010 August 19

Hold onto your buns. A new offering from Burger King has over 2,500 calories… enough for a typical persons suggested intake for an entire day (or just about right for one meal, dear Brian’s Belly reader).

The New York Pizza Burger is scheduled to sizzle in to the Whopper Bar in NYC’s Times Square next month.  You may remember that the Whopper Bar is the King’s grand playground in which he serves beer and burgers to those royal customers among the fast food surfs.

Nutritional information posted on the company’s website indicates that each Pizza Burger contains six servings, enough to share with a big friend.

BK is apparently keeping images of the sandwich under wraps in order to generate buzz or keep a trade secret from getting into the wrong hands… as if a hamburger picture might keep Mickey D’s from introducing the Mc New York Pizza Burger next week and stealing their thunder.

This isn’t the first time BK has made a big burger… last year they treated Japan to the Windows 7 Burger, a seven layer Whopper–inspired by a lunchtime favorite of Steve Balmer–that helped introduce the latest OS by Microsoft.
