Some ppl have the buds of angels and others must have killed them all with a soldering iron. Be that as it may, I have found in my near 30 years of beer swilling, that different beers fit different circumstance. Just as a jacket and tie is not required when going to a buddys house to watch the cowboys get spanked... again... neither are boutique beers required every time you twist a cap. Personally I like pilsner style beers while in the heat, wheat style beers with BBQ, and malty beers when I am relaxing in the evening solving all the worlds ills with whoever will listen to me. My personal all time favorite beer was Watneys Cream Stout, but it seems to have dropped off the earth. Another beer I enjoyed alot of was Henry Weinhard's Porter.... another seemingly extinct beer. These days I dont really have a favorite beer (one always on hand), though I do like both Newcastle and DW Dundee Honey Brown, nearly the entire Samual Adams line-up, Dos Equis, and when mowing the lawn or busting my knuckles its good ole PBR (if it spills I dont cry as much).
