Dave Said:

I have been saving old Grolsch bottles since they are re-sealable. They seem like a good choice for bottling. Green bottles are not quite as good as brown bottles (I’m tired of green bottled beer that tastes skunky… I’m looking at you Heineken) but they will get the job done.
You thinking about having a go at home-brewing, Dave?

I had a couple of bottles of my home brew yesterday (OK, I had 6 of them) and to be honest I quite liked the taste, although the carbonation could be a tad better.
The alcohol content also needs to be addressed as well, I did the calculation before I bottled the brew and got about 4.5% alc, it seems to be higher than that, in fact the first bottle felt like an earthquake had struck.
But all in all, I’m pretty stoked at the results, this stuff tastes better than any commercial beer I’ve ever drank, but that’s only my opinion, my brother-in-law wasn’t as enthusiastic about it.
I have to be honest Dave, I can’t stand the taste of Heineken, it’s about the only beer I won’t drink (and I’ve drank some shockers in my time!).
Same side of the coin, I prefer to drink out of a brown bottle, green bottles are for soft drinks.
